If you follow the What Dyke Looks Like blog, you may remember awhile back we posted about a 50’s themed photo booth we did for Butch Femme Salon during Toronto PRIDE 2013.
The booth was a blast with all sorts of Leave it to Beaver styled queers and allies. Thanks to Good for Her store owner Carlyle Jansen for letting us borrow a giant vintage “personal massager” to use as a prop. It had many iterations that evening, from microphone, to magic wand to femme paddler.
One of the groups that performed during the evening was one of Toronto’s newest and badassiest drag teams, The Yes-Men (if you read dapperQ you’ve probably read some of Yes-Man Titus Androgynous’ work there.)
We took a few shots of them in the booth and they asked to use one of the photos taken for their promo poster for this weekend’s show. The image was also featured in XTRA magazine’s What’s On section.
So, if you’re in Toronto this weekend and short on hot studs Check out the Yes Men this Saturday the 14th at the Tranzak (Spadina and Bloor.)
